Adding inventory

Three ways to add items:tap “New item”, scan a QR with your phone's camera, or import a CSV from Items → Import. CSV import accepts up to 1,000 rows at a time and recognises the common column-name variations.

Coming from Sortly? Export your Sortly inventory as CSV and drop it straight into our importer. We map their columns automatically — Folder becomes location, Tags becomes category, Pricebecomes purchase price. Photo URLs aren't imported automatically yet (that arrives with our Storage upgrade); items come in without photos and you re-photograph or attach later.

Where do photos go? Each item supports up to 8 photos. The first one is the primary photo and shows on the item card. Other photos are useful for damage records and condition disputes.

Floorplans and rooms

Floorplans upload to a project (the staging job). Open the project page and drop image files into the floorplans section — JPEG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, up to 8MB each, multiple at once. Useful for the styling team on site so they know where everything goes.

Roomsassign furniture to a part of the property. When the item's location is a project, the Room dropdown unlocks: Living Room, Kitchen, Hallway, Landing, Bedroom 1-6, Front Garden, Back Garden by default. The project page then groups items by room with subtotals.

Projects and bookings

What if a piece is double-booked? When you assign an item to a project that overlaps another booking, the app shows a warning with the conflicting project. You can override (use it anyway, the system records both bookings) or cancel the move.

Buffer days on a project add a gap between back-to-back bookings — e.g. 2 days for cleaning and transport. Defaults to 2.

QR codes and labels

Do I need a label printer? No. Avery L7651 sheets (~£15 for 100) work with any home printer. Pick the size from the QR label page (25mm / 50mm / 100mm), hit print, peel and stick.

Where do I scan? The Scan tab in the bottom nav opens the camera. Point it at any of your QR labels — no app install needed, works on any phone with a browser.

Insurance

The insurance schedule PDF:Reports → Insurance schedule. Email it to your broker at renewal time. Items marked “not insured” are excluded.

Selling items

eBay integrates via the eBay API once your account is connected. Facebook Marketplacerequires manual listing because Meta doesn't offer a public listing API; we pre-stage the title, description, price and photo bundle so it's 15 seconds of paste-and-post.

Trash and deletion

Deleted items are kept for 30 days in Items → Trash. Restore at any time during that window. After 30 days they are permanently purged and the only way back is from a backup.
